Key Qualifications:

• Associates degree (2-year degree) or higher required
• Proven experience working with students with autism, both verbal and non-verbal
• Familiarity with reading and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Demonstrated skill in effective behavior management
• Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, therapists, and fellow staff
• Ability to foster a positive rapport and supportive relationship with students

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students during classroom activities and transitions
• Implement individualized behavior plans under the guidance of classroom teachers and specialists
• Encourage students’ academic and social development using reinforcing strategies
• Monitor progress and communicate student needs or successes with staff and families
