• Background or certification as a paraprofessional, or relevant classroom support experience
• Patience, adaptability, and a strong commitment to helping students succeed
• Familiarity with special education environments or willingness to support students with diverse needs
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with teachers, students, and parents
• Ability to follow instructions, implement behavior plans, and assist in lesson delivery as directed
• Reliable, punctual, and organized in all tasks

Key responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction by reinforcing lessons, assisting with activities, and providing one-on-one or small group tutoring
• Assist students with assignments, ensuring understanding and participation
• Help maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment for all learners
• Aid teachers with recordkeeping, organization, and material preparation
• Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement for student growth and achievement
• Support students with special needs by assisting with daily routines, mobility, or behavioral plans as required
• Uphold classroom and school policies, contributing to a respectful and inclusive learning atmosphere
