Step into an impactful role supporting student growth as a paraprofessional working 1:1 with an 8th-grade student in a middle school environment. This contract opportunity runs ASAP through June 11, offering consistent weekday hours of 7:30 am to 2:40 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous paraprofessional experience, especially with students demonstrating behavioral needs
- State-specific training completion (or willingness to complete required trainings)
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school-based support team
- Strong communication skills and flexibility in responding to student and classroom needs
- Professionalism and reliability in a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized support to an assigned 8th-grade student throughout the school day
- Collaborate with educators and staff to deliver instructional and behavioral support strategies
- Assist the student to stay engaged, on-task, and included in classroom activities
- Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and any incidents as required
- Support the student in transitions, routines, and social interactions
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school, district, and state guidelines
