Qualifications/Desired Skills:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or teaching assistant in an educational environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students
• Compassion, patience, and a proactive approach in working with children of varying abilities
• Ability to assist with individualized learning plans and provide one-on-one or small group support
• Comfortable adapting to dynamic classroom needs and participating in all aspects of student life
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education preferred

Responsibilities:

• Support instructional staff in implementing lesson plans and engaging students in learning activities
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students, including those with special needs
• Offer direct support to students through tutoring, classroom management, and personal assistance
• Monitor student progress, assist with assessments, and communicate updates to teaching staff
• Help facilitate classroom routines, from organization to behavior redirection and reinforcement
• Encourage social and emotional development through thoughtful interaction and mentoring
