Classroom Aide | Westland, Michigan

Support middle school students in an educational setting and help make a meaningful impact day to day. We are seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals for contract roles in the Ypsilanti area, working closely with educators and students. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 4, 2027. Four openings are available, providing rewarding opportunities to support young learners in their academic and personal growth.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required (must provide transcript; candidates with transcripts readily available may be prioritized)
• Prior paraprofessional or instructional support experience within a school setting is required
• Comfortable working with middle school students in a classroom environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependability and a passion for helping students succeed

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in reinforcing instructional material and supporting lesson delivery
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, adapting communication to meet individual needs
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and scheduled breaks
• Help manage classroom materials, maintain order, and assist with organization
• Foster an engaging and inclusive environment, encouraging student participation and positive behaviors
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement students’ individual education plans (IEPs) when needed
