Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively one-on-one with elementary-aged students
  • Calm, encouraging, and authoritative male presence
  • Reliability, adaptability, and commitment to supporting student success
  • Willingness to transition to a new location midyear as the student transfers
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and administrators

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support for a 5th grade student throughout the school day
  • Assist the student with classroom activities, assignments, and social interaction
  • Maintain a structured, positive atmosphere conducive to learning and development
  • Implement strategies set by teachers and specialists to enhance academic engagement
  • Support the student during transitions, including adapting to a new educational environment in January
  • Document student progress and communicate effectively with the broader educational team
