Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant
- Familiarity working with special needs students is strongly preferred
- Verbal de-escalation skills
- Prior experience riding the bus with students or willingness to learn
- Dependable and punctual with a caring and patient demeanor
Key Responsibilities:
- Ride the bus to and from school, accompanying the driver to pick up and drop off students
- Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support as assigned, ensuring safety and comfort on the journey
- Utilize strong communication and de-escalation skills to address student needs
- Foster a nurturing, positive atmosphere during transportation times
- Remain vigilant to maintain a safe environment for all riders
Position Details:
- Commitment runs from January 5, 2026 through May 29, 2026, with strong chances of renewal for the extended school year and into the following year
- Work 3 hours per day (averaging 90 minutes in the morning and 90 minutes in the afternoon) for a total of 15 hours per week
- Morning shifts: typically between 6:30 am and 8:30 am; afternoon shifts: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
- Assignments are available in Denver and nearby northern Denver areas
