Exciting opportunities are available for Bus Aides to support students for the 26/27 school year. Multiple positions are open, with a contract extending through May 28, 2027, and a strong likelihood of renewal into the following academic year. The role provides flexible hours, averaging between 10-15 hours weekly, depending on the assigned route and caseload. Typical schedules fall between 6:30 am – 8:30 am for morning pickups and 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm for afternoon dismissal.

As a Bus Aide, you will play a critical role riding with students to and from school, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment. Each aide is responsible for accompanying the student from their pickup point to school and back, providing assistance as needed. Caseloads range from 1:1 to 2:1 support.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant welcomed
• Confidence in working with special needs students
• Skilled in verbal de-escalation and crisis prevention strategies
• Previous bus aide or similar transport experience preferred
• Ability to complete fingerprinting requirements (reimbursed post-completion)
• Commitment to reliable attendance and professional communication

Responsibilities:

• Ride school transportation vehicles to assist students during transit
• Support students’ needs, following all safety and care protocols
• Communicate effectively with students, drivers, and school staff
• Manage callouts per established procedures
• Complete required onboarding steps for both placement agency and district
