Six contract positions are available, perfect for those seeking meaningful part-time work with flexible hours. You’ll be providing vital support to students during their bus commute in a rewarding, people-focused role.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, bus aide, or certified nursing assistant
- Background working with special needs children highly preferred
- Calm demeanor with effective verbal de-escalation techniques
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable adhering to established protocols
- Prior experience riding with students on school transportation is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Ride school vehicles to and from students’ homes, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the journey
- Provide 1:1 or 2:1 supervision, assisting students as needed
- Build trustworthy relationships with students while promoting positive behavior during transport
- Partner closely with bus drivers, school staff, and families to ensure seamless transitions between home and school
- Participate in a required in-person onboarding class prior to assignment, and complete all onboarding steps as outlined
Details:
- AM and PM shifts, typically between 6:30–8:30 am and 2:30–4:30 pm
- 10–15 hours each week, depending on route assignment
