Qualifications:

• Completion of an Associate’s degree (2-year degree) or higher is required
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorders, including both verbal and non-verbal individuals
• Solid background in behavior management, with proven ability to interpret and carry out individualized behavior plans
• Strong communication and teamwork skills when collaborating with fellow staff members
• Talent for building trusting and positive relationships with students

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs in both group and one-on-one settings
• Follow and implement behavior intervention plans consistently, helping students develop positive coping mechanisms
• Communicate progress and challenges to teachers and specialists to ensure each student’s needs are met
• Encourage student participation, independence, and engagement using patience and positive reinforcement
• Foster a welcoming and supportive classroom environment, acting as a reliable resource for students
