Make a direct impact in the lives of students as a dedicated paraprofessional (Personal Care Aide) supporting a diverse school community near Wilkes Barre, PA! This contract opportunity runs through June 9, 2027, with 35 hours per week onsite in various schools as assigned by the district based on need. While preferences are noted, positions are filled according to district requirements across elementary, intermediate, high school, and special education settings.
What You Bring:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or personal care aide (PCA) in schools
- Pennsylvania credentials (Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting, Act 126 Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting completion, 2-Step TB Test or Quantiferon TB Blood Test, Act 168 paperwork, PATCH/Act 134 background check, physical within 60 days, and completed drug screening)
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
- Preference given to candidates with full PA credentials and extensive PCA experience
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to helping students succeed
