Instructional Assistant - Willoughby, OH

This contract position offers full-time hours working with PreK and elementary-age students, using your skills to promote growth and learning in a supportive academic environment.

Bring your experience as a behavior technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to help students develop social, academic, and behavioral skills. Your commitment and compassion will play a vital role in creating a safe and encouraging classroom community.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a behavior technician, RBT, or paraprofessional in a school setting
• Understanding of behavior intervention strategies and positive behavior supports
• Ability to build rapport with students, especially those with unique behavioral needs
• Experience working with PreK and elementary students preferred
• Collaborative mindset for working with teachers, therapists, and other staff
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to teachers and students, focusing on behavioral and academic success
• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by educational specialists
• Monitor and document student progress and behavioral data
• Assist with daily classroom activities, transitions, and individual or group instruction
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports all learners
• Adapt interventions based on student response and team feedback
