Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required (permit cannot be pending; screenshot of DEEDS portal needed if pending).
- Experience supporting students in a classroom or educational setting is preferred.
- Candidates must be prepared to complete $85 CBC fingerprinting (confirm agreement before submission).
- Organized, dependable, and proactive in a team environment.
- RBTs must be aware: no on-site supervision is provided. The district and agency cannot honor RBT status for this position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying classroom dynamics and student needs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted, adult-level support to specific students and assist with classroom management.
- Implement teacher-led instruction, help with assignments, and support student IEP goals.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for students at all times.
- Facilitate communication between students and staff as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Complete documentation and reporting according to district and school procedures.
