Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required (permit cannot be pending; screenshot of DEEDS portal needed if pending).
  • Experience supporting students in a classroom or educational setting is preferred.
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete $85 CBC fingerprinting (confirm agreement before submission).
  • Organized, dependable, and proactive in a team environment.
  • RBTs must be aware: no on-site supervision is provided. The district and agency cannot honor RBT status for this position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying classroom dynamics and student needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted, adult-level support to specific students and assist with classroom management.
  • Implement teacher-led instruction, help with assignments, and support student IEP goals.
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for students at all times.
  • Facilitate communication between students and staff as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Complete documentation and reporting according to district and school procedures.
