Special Education Para Professional in Windsor, VT

Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a behavior support provider in a dynamic K-12 setting near Windsor, VT. This contract opportunity is perfect for Paraprofessionals, RBTs, and ABA professionals passionate about collaborating within a forward-thinking environment. The district’s behavior program is entering an exciting phase of redevelopment, launching new pilot projects for the 26/27 school year under the guidance of a newly appointed district BCBA. RBTs have the added advantage of working with both district and outside BCBA supervision.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or in ABA therapy, particularly within school settings
• Comfortable providing direct support to students with behavioral needs
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving program structures and initiatives
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across multiple school buildings
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct behavioral support and intervention to students in grades K-12 across four school buildings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, district BCBA, and other special education staff to implement behavior plans
• Collect and document data to help evaluate the success of pilot initiatives and student progress
• Participate in program development and feedback as the department explores innovative strategies
• Adapt techniques and interventions to meet the needs of individual students

This full-time contract position (35-37.5 hours per week) offers the opportunity to contribute from August 26, 2026, through June 14, 2027, supporting a district-wide effort to modernize and improve behavioral support services.
