Make a positive impact in education by supporting students as a Behavior Support Provider for a contract assignment near Windsor, VT. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced paraprofessionals, behavior specialists, and RBTs to help shape and grow a revitalized behavior program in a K-12 setting across four school buildings.
For the upcoming academic year, the district is piloting new behavioral initiatives under the guidance of a newly hired BCBA program supervisor. However, RBTs will benefit from supervision via outside BCBAs, ensuring strong mentorship and growth during the assignment. This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 school year, with weekly hours between 35 and 37.5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct behavior support to K-12 students under BCBA guidance.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement individualized behavior plans.
- Collect data to monitor student progress and inform interventions.
- Support students in both individual and group settings.
- Foster positive, proactive environments within classrooms and across the school.
- Help pilot and develop components of the new behavior program.
- Maintain documentation and communication with program supervisors and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional, RBT, Behavioral Specialist, or within ABA settings.
- Familiarity with K-12 school environments and working across age groups.
- Understanding of behavior intervention strategies and support models.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Commitment to empowering students and supporting inclusive educational settings.
This assignment runs from late August 2026 through mid-June 2027, offering meaningful, hands-on experience while contributing to innovative behavioral support pilot projects within public schools.
