Instructional Assistant - York, PA

Support students in an engaging educational environment as a Personal Care Assistant for the 26/27 school year. This full-time contract opportunity (35 hours per week) begins in August and runs through early June, placing you at the heart of a middle school autism support classroom. Your workday will run from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, providing consistent hours with afternoons free.

With a focus on individualized student support, you'll play a vital role in helping middle schoolers achieve daily successes and develop important life and academic skills. Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or personal care assistant, particularly in educational or special needs settings
• Comfortable supporting students with autism spectrum disorders in a classroom environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
• Ability to follow teacher direction while also working independently
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist middle school students with daily classroom tasks and activities
• Support students in developing academic, social, and life skills
