Instructional Assistant - Yorkville, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in school settings
• Proven background in special education or working with students who have special needs
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Familiarity with supporting caseloads that are typically mild to moderate

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom assistance to teachers supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs
• Offer one-on-one or small group support to help students achieve their academic and behavioral goals
• Assist with classroom management and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt materials and modify instruction under the guidance of certified staff
• Promote an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere where all students can thrive
• Collaborate and communicate regularly with educators and specialist team members
