Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with educators, therapists, and families
  • Patient, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a middle school student with ASD throughout the school day
  • Assist with a variety of instructional and non-instructional classroom activities
  • Adapt classroom materials and instructions to fit the student's learning plan
  • Offer behavior support and positive reinforcement to promote classroom participation
  • Work closely with teachers, specialists, and other educational professionals to monitor progress and make recommendations for continued support
  • Help facilitate social integration and appropriate peer interactions
