Teacher's Aide - Ypsilanti, Michigan

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or caregiving environment preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, adaptability, and genuine interest in helping students succeed
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with teaching staff
• Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and one-on-one support to students as directed by the lead teacher
• Assist with academic tasks, including small group instruction and organization of learning materials
• Support students with special needs by following individualized plans and offering encouragement
• Help manage classroom behavior and reinforce positive social interactions
• Prepare instructional materials and help with clerical tasks
• Supervise students during transition times, lunch, or recess as needed
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all learners
