Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, or in a classroom support role is highly desirable
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs or implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or completion of paraeducator certification is a bonus
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills for collaborating with educators and students
- Ability to support teachers in delivering lesson materials and maintaining a structured classroom environment
- Flexibility to adapt to various classroom dynamics and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and student support
- Provide one-on-one or small group guidance to reinforce lesson content
- Help implement IEPs or behavior management plans as directed by certified staff
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as lunch or recess
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in all student interactions
- Foster a safe, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation
