Instructional Aide - Yuba City, CA

Step into a dynamic, collaborative role supporting K-12 students as a paraprofessional dedicated to enhancing virtual speech sessions. Located near Yuba City, CA, this full-time, contract opportunity offers 32.5 hours per week and the chance to work closely with educators and students in an inclusive educational environment.

As a key member of the educational team, you’ll be actively involved with students in a K-12 caseload, including those in ESN (Extensive Support Needs) programs. Your contribution will directly support virtual speech therapy sessions, known in the district as "speech paras".

Skills and Experience Sought:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings preferred
• Comfortable assisting with virtual instruction and technology
• Ability to promptly bring students to computer stations and assist during online speech therapy sessions
• Skilled at printing and distributing necessary learning materials
• Demonstrated ability to actively collaborate and communicate with speech therapists, teaching staff, and other team members
• Flexible, adaptable approach to meeting the diverse needs of students
• Positive, solution-focused attitude with a strong commitment to being a team player

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students during virtual speech sessions by managing schedules and facilitating engagement
• Assist with preparing and delivering printed materials as directed by speech pathologists or teachers
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students
• Provide feedback and observations during team meetings
• Collaborate with other professionals to optimize student outcomes and ensure smooth session delivery
