Physical Therapist - School Setting in Alexandria, VA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapy license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain by start date)
• Prior experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
• Strong understanding of IEPs and the evaluation process
• Proficiency in delivering both direct therapy and consultative services
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Conduct comprehensive student assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations
• Develop and implement therapeutic activities that support educational and functional goals
• Collaborate with classroom staff, special educators, and families to maximize student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress notes
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and guidance on student needs and programming
