This contract position provides short-term leave coverage for the upcoming school year, starting with orientation on August 3 and 4. The role is part-time, working three days a week (22.5 hours), and will conclude November 3, 2026. You'll collaborate closely with a supportive supervisor, participate in a robust onboarding experience, and enjoy direct access to essential equipment and resources.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current PT license required for the state of Illinois
- Prior experience in school-based settings or pediatric therapy is highly valued
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
- Comfortable working in a flexible, part-time environment
- Enthusiasm for engaging in ongoing professional development and team activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide targeted physical therapy interventions to students on your caseload
- Engage in thorough documentation and progress reporting in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success and participation in the school environment
- Participate in monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and annual performance reviews
- Involve yourself in school-wide best practices and process improvement initiatives
