School Physical Therapist | Antioch, California

Step into a new opportunity where your passion for student wellness and physical therapy can shine. This contract assignment, based near Antioch, CA, offers a chance to support growth and development for K-12 students as you fill in for a Physical Therapist departing after the fall break.

In this rewarding position, you will work 10 hours per week from October 2nd through the end of the school year. As a dedicated PT in a school district setting, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help students overcome barriers, improve movement, and reach their fullest potential.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current CA-licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing
• Prior experience in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Comfortable working with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
• Skill in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized therapy plans
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
• Adaptability and a team-first mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions aligned to students’ IEP goals
• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and ongoing assessments
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy supports
• Provide guidance and resources for teachers and staff regarding physical needs and accommodations
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Support a smooth transition as you fill the role vacated after the fall break
