Physical Therapist - School Setting in Antioch, CA

What we’re seeking:

• Active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
• Ability to develop individualized education plan (IEP) goals and participate in IEP meetings
• Proficiency in providing both direct and consultative services for students with varying abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with faculty, staff, and families
• Strong organizational abilities to manage paperwork and scheduling
• Commitment to supporting diverse student populations with compassion and innovation

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ motor skills and functional needs within the school environment
• Develop and execute targeted treatment plans tailored to students’ educational goals
• Maintain thorough documentation of progress and services rendered
• Coordinate with special education teams, teachers, and families to promote successful inclusion
• Train staff and caregivers in relevant techniques and safety procedures
• Attend relevant meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives

In addition to flexible part-time hours, this contract offers compensation between $55 and $70 per hour.
