Step into a dynamic role supporting students’ growth as a Physical Therapist for the upcoming school year! Work on-site in a vibrant, collaborative environment, providing essential PT services across a range of K-12 settings—including some Pre-K students. With a flexible approach, we’re welcoming both one full-time professional or two to three part-time Physical Therapists to share responsibilities. The schedule follows standard school hours, running from 7:30am to 4:00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), on a contract basis from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Florida Physical Therapy license
- Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred, though not required
- Comfort traveling between multiple campuses each day (itinerant model), typically servicing 2–3 schools daily among 35 in total alongside another PT and a PTA
- Experience working with diverse student populations across all grade levels (K-12, including some Pre-K)
- Ability to provide both direct and indirect PT services as outlined in student IEPs
- Commitment to completing time-sensitive district onboarding and credentialing documentation
Major Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality physical therapy interventions, fostering motor development and functional mobility for students
- Assess, document, and track progress; collaborate with educational teams, families, and other providers
- Adapt services in response to student needs and district priorities
- Maintain accurate records and meet all compliance, reporting, and timesheet requirements
