School-Based Physical Therapist - Arlington Heights, Illinois

Make a difference supporting students as a part-time Physical Therapist within an elementary school setting for an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Arlington Heights, IL. Qualifications:

• Current Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Experience with pediatric populations, especially in elementary school settings
• Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to elementary-aged students, addressing gross motor skills, mobility, and access within the school environment
• Evaluate students, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development and progress reports
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success
• Adapt instruction and therapy strategies to meet a variety of student needs and classroom environments
