Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ success during the Extended School Year (ESY) session this summer. Provide vital physical therapy services to students in preschool through 8th grade, making a difference across two schools conveniently situated on one campus. This contract position offers a manageable, family-friendly schedule—Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., running from July 6, 2026, through July 30, 2026.

Enjoy a varied caseload where you’ll collaborate closely with educators, students, and families in a supportive environment. Each week is a chance to help students meet their IEP goals through purposeful, engaging therapy.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
  • School-based or pediatric PT experience preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
  • Ability to engage learners from preschool to middle school with developmentally appropriate therapy strategies
  • Strong organizational, data collection, and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help students maintain and advance progress on IEP objectives through direct physical therapy services
  • Design and implement interactive, age-appropriate therapy sessions targeting each student’s unique needs
  • Record and monitor student data, tracking progress toward goals throughout the session
  • Prepare clear and detailed progress reports for parents and the school-year team at the conclusion of the ESY program
