Work onsite and play a vital part in a supportive, collaborative environment near Arlington Heights, IL. This position is part time—just 15 hours across two days each week—with the school year beginning August 7, 2026, and wrapping up on May 20, 2027. Orientation is offered on August 3rd and 4th to ensure a smooth transition before students arrive.
Essential Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials for school-based practice
- Experience working with K-12 students in resource or self-contained settings is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated strengths in communication and collaboration
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and school therapy documentation
- Positive, flexible approach, and a passion for supporting student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services in accordance with IEP requirements across K-12 grades
- Utilize readily available equipment and testing materials
- Collaborate with other professionals during monthly meetings, roundtables, and real-time online platforms
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to support best practices
- Engage in monthly performance reviews and ongoing leadership check-ins
- Connect and consult with an onsite supervisor dedicated to your professional growth
