Step into a rewarding contract position providing physical therapy services to K-12 students in a dynamic school-based setting near Arlington Heights, IL. This opportunity allows you to make a real difference in the lives of children and adolescents throughout the academic year. With a part-time schedule of two days per week (14 hours), you’ll enjoy a balanced workweek while supporting students’ mobility, independence, and functional skills.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) licensure in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Understanding of IEP processes and related documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans to a diverse K-12 caseload
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage schedules and paperwork efficiently

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver targeted physical therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
  • Document progress and collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families
  • Provide guidance and training to school staff regarding student mobility supports and needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning
  • Recommend adaptive equipment or modifications as needed to support student access
