Exciting opportunities are available for Physical Therapists seeking rewarding contract positions—support students’ mobility, access, and participation with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Openings include a part-time (0.6 FTE) Physical Therapist role for the full academic year, and a full-time (1.0 FTE) Physical Therapist coverage for approximately 8 weeks to support a maternity leave.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or educational setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IDEA/IEP documentation and related services
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Creative approach to problem-solving and adapting interventions within a school context
- Commitment to fostering student independence and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy services within classroom and resource settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to integrate therapy goals into student’s daily routines
- Participate in IEP meetings, monitor student progress, and complete required documentation
- Provide consultative support to classroom staff on positioning, adaptive equipment, and mobility
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for all students
