Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade as a dedicated Physical Therapist. This role is located near Arlington Heights, IL, and is structured for those who thrive in a school-based environment. You’ll work across two school buildings, making a meaningful impact while collaborating with educators and support teams. The position is part-time, requiring your expertise for 14 hours per week over two days, starting as soon as possible and extending through June 9, 2027.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license for Illinois
- Previous experience in school-based Physical Therapy, ideally across multiple grade levels
- Familiarity with supporting students with a variety of physical and developmental needs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and collaborate with teachers, families, and other therapists
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group PT services for K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student independence and participation
- Maintain accurate progress notes, data, and required reports
- Rotate between two school buildings, efficiently managing your weekly schedule over two days
- Engage in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
