Looking for an impactful role supporting students with diverse needs? A contract opportunity is now available for an experienced Physical Therapist to work onsite near Aurora, IL. This short-term leave position begins August 17th and extends through November 4th, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in a school community. The caseload includes a mix of grade levels, with a particular focus on students in transition (ages 20–22).

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Physical Therapist license (required)
  • Previous pediatric and school-based experience
  • Strong understanding of best practices in providing physical therapy to students with special needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other related service providers

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educationally relevant physical therapy services to special education students in an onsite school setting
  • Address gross motor skill deficits by enhancing students’ ability to access their educational environment
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each student’s needs and goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation, communicate progress, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Support students’ transition planning, including working with older adolescents (20–22 years old) on functional mobility and access
