Qualifications and Experience

• Hold active Illinois Physical Therapist licensure
• Pediatric physical therapy background is essential
• Demonstrated school-based experience is required
• Confidence delivering services to special education populations, including transition-aged youth
• Ability to adapt to dynamic school settings and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver educationally related physical therapy services in alignment with IEP goals for students receiving special education
• Focus on promoting acquisition and compensation strategies for gross motor skill challenges
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans; monitor and report on student progress
• Collaborate closely with classroom staff, special education teams, and families to foster student independence and participation
• Engage in onsite partnership—no remote/teletherapy responsibilities
