A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated physical therapist to provide services across multiple school sites in the Romeoville and Bolingbrook areas, supporting students from elementary through transition programs. This contract position is perfect for those motivated by making a direct impact in educational settings. Full-time availability is preferred, but skilled part-time candidates will also be considered. The assignment runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with in-person services only.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT)
  • Current Illinois Physical Therapy License
  • Experience or strong interest in working within school-based or pediatric settings
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload of 35-45 students across self-contained and general education programs
  • Skilled in consultation and direct therapy models
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement interventions aimed at maximizing students’ physical independence and classroom participation
  • Provide training and support on positioning and mobility equipment for students and staff
  • Collaborate daily with educational team members: teachers, therapists, nurses, and paraprofessionals
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation including therapy notes, progress reports, and updates on student goals
  • Create a positive, supportive environment to facilitate student progress

The schedule is Monday through Friday with varying start times (between 7:30 and 8:30am) based on school hours, totaling approximately 37.5 hours weekly.
