School Physical Therapist | Awendaw, South Carolina

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred
• Ability to assess, design, and implement therapy plans for children and adolescents
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation in IEP meetings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation efficiently

Duties:

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Deliver targeted PT services to help students access the school environment
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to achieve student-centered goals
• Maintain required records, progress notes, and contribute to IEP reports
• Educate school staff regarding mobility, positioning, and adaptive equipment usage
• Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments to therapy as needed
