Physical Therapist - School Setting in Baltimore, MD

This is a contract Physical Therapist opportunity offering the chance to work closely with learners ages 3-21. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families to help students achieve their individual therapy goals throughout the school year and extended summer program (ESY).

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
• In-depth understanding of sensory-motor development and musculoskeletal systems
• Experience with students who have multiple disabilities, ages 3-21
• Proficient in evaluating, recommending, and utilizing orthotics, wheelchairs, adaptive positioning, and assistive devices
• Strong communication skills and the ability to participate in early morning or evening consults and training sessions as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based therapy services to students with diverse needs
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Team up with educators and support staff to maximize students' participation and independence in the school setting
• Document progress and provide input for IEPs and student transition plans
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and family consultations
• Support students year-round, including the 4-week Extended School Year (ESY) period over the summer

Enjoy a Monday through Friday full-time schedule (35 hours/week) with flexibility for flextime arrangements. Candidates will follow a 12-month school calendar, ensuring continuity of care and the opportunity to see tangible progress in students’ abilities.
