School Physical Therapist | Baltimore, Maryland

A full-time Physical Therapist (PT) position is available within a school setting near Baltimore, MD. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized care to students aged 3-21, supporting their physical development throughout the school year and extended summer program.

Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week (daytime hours)
Start/End Date: ASAP through Extended School Year (ESY), with potential continuation into the next school year
Caseload: Students ages 3-21 (caseload specifics discussed during the interview)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with multiple disabilities
• Utilize knowledge of sensory-motor development and musculoskeletal function to guide therapy
• Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions, including use of orthotics, wheelchairs, adaptive positioning, and assistive devices
• Provide consultation and training during occasional early morning and evening sessions
• Participate in the 4-week ESY program during the summer months, supporting year-round services

Qualifications:

• Current Maryland Physical Therapist licensure
• Strong understanding of normal and abnormal sensory-motor development in pediatric populations
• Experience with therapeutic techniques suited for children and young adults with multiple disabilities
• Knowledge of orthotic devices, mobility aids, and adaptive equipment appropriate for this age group
