Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure through the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- In-depth knowledge of developmental and musculoskeletal function, as well as the nuances of sensory-motor development in children and young adults
- Proficiency in evaluative and treatment techniques tailored for individuals with multiple disabilities aged 3-21
- Comprehensive understanding of orthotics, wheelchairs, adaptive positioning equipment, and assistive devices suitable for the school-age population
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students ranging from early childhood through young adulthood
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with varied disabilities
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s educational and functional goals
- Provide consultative support and training, with some early morning and occasional evening commitments to accommodate family and staff needs
- Commit to a 12-month calendar and participate in the Extended School Year program during the summer
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communications with all stakeholders
