Physical Therapist - School Setting in Baltimore, MD

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure through the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
• In-depth knowledge of developmental and musculoskeletal function, as well as the nuances of sensory-motor development in children and young adults
• Proficiency in evaluative and treatment techniques tailored for individuals with multiple disabilities aged 3-21
• Comprehensive understanding of orthotics, wheelchairs, adaptive positioning equipment, and assistive devices suitable for the school-age population

Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students ranging from early childhood through young adulthood
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with varied disabilities
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s educational and functional goals
• Provide consultative support and training, with some early morning and occasional evening commitments to accommodate family and staff needs
• Commit to a 12-month calendar and participate in the Extended School Year program during the summer
• Maintain accurate records and ongoing communications with all stakeholders
