Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Physical Therapy license valid for the state of Maryland
- Experience or strong interest in working within a school setting
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to perform evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy assessments and interventions to students with diverse needs
- Work in partnership with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop comprehensive student care plans
- Document evaluation results, progress notes, and recommendations in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing clear and effective input
- Provide guidance and instruction to school staff on best practices for student mobility and access
- Maintain organized records and uphold confidentiality standards
