Step into a dynamic contract position as a Physical Therapist serving a diverse K-12 caseload for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity, beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 2027, offers the chance to work onsite during school hours, Monday through Friday, for 32-37.5 hours per week. As the district’s primary Physical Therapist, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and allied professionals, directly impacting students’ educational journeys and supporting their physical development across multiple campuses.
Ideal candidates will bring a passion for supporting children and adolescents, along with the skills required to assess, design, and implement individualized therapy interventions. Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience or strong interest in school-based physical therapy (K-12 preferred)
- Ability to work with an array of functional needs, modifying plans as required for students’ growth
- Collaborative spirit to consult with teachers, support staff, and family members
- Effective organizational and documentation skills to manage a districtwide caseload
- Commitment to in-person service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and create tailored intervention plans to foster mobility, independence, and participation in school activities
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services based on IEP goals
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and IEP development
- Provide training and support to educational staff and families to implement strategies outside of therapy sessions
- Adjust interventions as students progress, continually setting new goals
