Qualifications:

  • Active license to practice Physical Therapy in Massachusetts
  • Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in a school setting, ESY experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques, assessments, and IEP processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and parents
  • Adaptability and a caring, compassionate approach to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ physical and functional abilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and goals
  • Support students in achieving mobility, strength, and participation in daily school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure therapy goals align with IEP objectives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Provide training and resources for school staff to promote safe movement and positioning
