Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Physical Therapy license in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience providing PT services in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEPs, goal development, and documentation practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Ability to work independently and adapt therapy strategies to diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students’ physical therapy needs within the school environment
- Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans to foster student participation and success
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and daily activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students requiring physical therapy services
- Maintain accurate records and stay current with best practices, compliance, and documentation standards
- Offer consultative support, education, and resources to school personnel and families
