School-Based Physical Therapist - Bridgeport, CT

This contract role runs from November 16th to December 22nd and requires commitment for two days per week, totaling approximately 13 hours each week. You will work directly with elementary-aged students, assessing and implementing therapy plans to improve their mobility, strength, and participation in school activities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active license to practice Physical Therapy
• Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other members of the student support team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and flexibility in adapting to a school environment
• Previous experience in an elementary school setting is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized treatment plans for students
• Implement therapy sessions to address students’ physical development needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust plans as necessary
• Document and report on interventions, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote each child’s physical participation in school activities
• Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to the overall student care approach
