Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Massachusetts
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to adapt interventions for students with a range of physical and developmental needs
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere for every student

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough student assessments, develop treatment plans, and set functional goals
  • Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions aligned with students’ IEPs
  • Consult with teachers and families, providing strategies to promote mobility and inclusive learning
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Educate and empower students to increase independence and participation in school activities
  • Participate in professional development to remain current with best practices in school-based PT
