Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred

• Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans and adapt to a diverse student population
• Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and promoting student engagement

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals for students requiring physical therapy
• Implement evidence-based treatment plans to support student mobility, posture, and physical participation in school routines
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure strategies are integrated into students’ daily activities
• Document evaluations, progress reports, and session notes in compliance with school and state requirements
• Provide guidance and in-service training to staff regarding adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations
