School Physical Therapist | Bumpass, Virginia

This contract opportunity calls for a skilled physical therapist to support a student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) twice weekly, with a likelihood of working with an additional student soon. Service delivery will take place in a school setting close to Bumpass, VA.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
• Previous experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Flexibility and responsiveness to the evolving needs of students
• Capability to work independently while partnering effectively with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to a student according to their IEP, twice per week; potential to expand to a second or third student
• Collaborate with special education teachers, aides, and other professionals to facilitate student access to their educational program
• Conduct ongoing assessments and contribute to IEP goal development, implementation, and review
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation of progress and services delivered
• Offer training and support to school staff and student families as appropriate
