Physical Therapist - School Setting in Caledonia, MN

As a part time Physical Therapist on a contract basis (0.5 FTE), you’ll help create inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive. Your expertise will empower young learners, collaborating with educators and families to shape individualized interventions.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state
• Prior experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based settings
• Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and design education-based treatment plans
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to work with students, staff, and families
• Strong documentation skills for writing IEP goals and progress reports
• Adaptability and creative problem-solving in diverse educational environments

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ physical and developmental needs to support access to educational settings
• Develop and implement personalized therapeutic interventions
• Document progress and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members
• Consult with teachers and staff to integrate mobility strategies into the classroom
• Help educate caregivers and staff on safe, effective strategies and equipment use
• Regularly monitor therapy effectiveness and modify interventions as needed
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for students of all abilities
