Step into an impactful role dedicated to student development as a contract Physical Therapist for an Extended School Year (ESY) program. This part-time opportunity allows you to work closely with students, helping them achieve functional goals in a supportive and collaborative environment. The assignment runs from July 6 to August 7 and is scheduled for three days a week, 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, providing an ideal balance of professional engagement and summer flexibility.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience or a strong interest in working with school-aged children
- Familiarity with IEPs, therapeutic interventions, and goal setting for pediatric populations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Passion for supporting growth and independence in diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective physical therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans in alignment with students’ IEP goals
- Assess student progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support to school teams
- Communicate regularly with educators and families to inform and adapt strategies
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment throughout the ESY program
