Step into a rewarding contract role providing physical therapy support within an energetic school environment near Cambridge, MA. This full-time position (35 hours per week) begins in late August and covers a 12-week leave, with the possibility of extension. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Massachusetts
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and experience developing student-centered therapy goals
- Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and school staff
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
- Adaptability and creativity in supporting students with diverse needs and abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students, supporting their educational access
- Assess student functional levels and develop tailored treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with other education professionals
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward therapy goals
- Provide training and consultative support to teachers and staff
- Adjust interventions and strategies as needed, responding to students’ evolving needs throughout the term
