Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young children as a Physical Therapist. Provide direct, onsite therapy services at a dynamic preschool center catering to students ages 3-5. This role covers a maternity leave for the summer extended school year program and continues into the early fall, with potential for a longer assignment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in New York State
  • Prior pediatric or early childhood experience, especially in school settings
  • Familiarity with implementing IEP goals and therapy plans
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy interventions for groups and individuals
  • Comfortable working onsite with a preschool caseload

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 40 hours per week of onsite physical therapy to preschool-aged students (ages 3–5)
  • Design and implement individualized and group therapy sessions to foster motor skills and mobility
  • Document student progress, session notes, and support data for IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies
  • Contribute to assessments and development of goals for each student’s educational plan
  • Maintain compliance with state, district, and site-specific policies
  • Help create a positive, engaging therapeutic environment
