This position covers a total of seven schools across Hampshire County, providing specialized support to approximately 30 students. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in West Virginia
- Prior experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations preferred
- Skilled in IEP processes, goal development, and documentation
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy plans for diverse abilities and developmental needs
- Dedication to evidence-based practices and professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of student motor needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services across seven schools in the district
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and families to facilitate student participation and success
- Contribute to IEP meetings, providing expertise on motor development and access needs
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
