Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state (or eligible for licensure)
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assess students’ motor skills and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized PT treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support inclusive education
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation, including progress notes and required reports
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student mobility and access in the school environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student progress
