School-Based Physical Therapist - Castle Hayne, North Carolina

Step into a dynamic contract role providing physical therapy services within a supportive school environment near Castle Hayne, NC. As a valued contributor, you'll collaborate with a diverse student population, ranging from preschool to high school, impacting their development and daily experiences. This assignment runs from April 20 through June 9, concluding as soon as all documentation and meetings are finalized after the last day of school on June 5.

In this capacity, you’ll work a manageable caseload of fewer than 50 students while engaging with a variety of school settings, including significant time at a dedicated Developmental Day Center. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you travel between seven schools—typically serving one or two per day.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license for practice within North Carolina
• Previous experience delivering PT services in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans for students with diverse needs
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable managing documentation according to school and regulatory guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services tailored to student IEP goals across a variety of ages and functional levels
• Conduct evaluations, develop intervention strategies, and monitor progress
• Consult with teachers and families to maximize students’ participation in school activities
• Maintain detailed records and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
