Qualifications:
- Current license as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches based on student needs and progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments, develop therapy plans, and deliver direct interventions to students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support each student’s educational goals
- Document student progress, maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and updates regarding students’ functional capabilities
- Educate staff and families about strategies and accommodations to assist students in accessing their educational environment
- Support student independence and participation throughout the school day
